Tee Party was a pop-up mini golf course created as part of a campaign to drive footfall to a new bustling neighbourhood tucked away behind Spinningfields, Manchester.
Launching at the start of Spring, the nine-hole mini golf course ran from the main busy shopping street, through the Spinningfields estate, and finished at the heart of the lively new development. Living amongst luxury shops and high-end restaurants, the mini-golf course needed to be designed in a way that complimented the refined environment—whilst still maintaining a huge element of fun.
Golf Course Design
Themed on a traditional British garden party, the design took old favourite games and reimagined them in an exaggerated and slightly surreal form—with obstacles and interactive elements. Constructed from wood—with a subtle application of colour—the course was designed in a way that considered every player: with A-boards to store belongings, games next to each hole to entertain those waiting their turn, and even a foosball-style section where players could obstruct their opponents.
Brand Identity
The brand identity included a flexible mark that appeared in a different place on each application—capturing the spontaneity of the game. The fun, modern logotype complimented the colour palette, that was made up of nine colours—one for each hole—and drew inspiration from pastel spring hues.
